He made over 200 appearances for Chelsea and won numerous awards including the Premier League Goalkeeper of the Year award in 1970. However, his most memorable moment came during the 1978-79 season when he saved the goal against Liverpool, helping Chelsea secure the league title.
After leaving Chelsea, Barnes went on to coach several other clubs, including Leeds United, Aston Villa, and Reading. In 2003,Bundesliga Express he was appointed as the new manager of Nottingham Forest and led them to the Championship title that same year. Despite his success, he struggled with injuries throughout his managerial career, and it wasn't until he retired in 2010 that he was able to fully recover from his injuries.
